Bulk import products from a CSV

Steps

1. On Products, click Download Sample CSV and fill it in.
2. Click Import Products and browse for your file.
3. Preview the data. It shows how many rows there are, how many are valid and how many have errors.
4. Fix any errors on screen, or fix them in the spreadsheet and upload it again.
5. Confirm & Import only appears when there are zero errors.

Tip Re-uploading the same products: “Create new products” adds every row as a new product. “Replace existing variants” only updates the rows you changed. This screen is for product details, not for adding new stock.

2. 0:07If you're adding ten or more products, doing them one by one takes a long time.
3. 0:13Instead, download the sample CSV and fill in your product information.
4. 0:20Then come back to Import Products, browse for your file, and attach it.
5. 0:28Here, we'll use your product file.
6. 0:33Once the file is uploaded, you first get the option to preview the data.
7. 0:38This step matters, because data in the wrong format won't be uploaded.

9. 0:52If there's an error, check which column it's in. You can fix it here, or fix it in the spreadsheet and upload it again.
10. 1:07The Confirm and Import button only appears when there are zero errors.
11. 1:12Now, say you upload the same file of 112 items again.
12. 1:20Choose Create New Products, and all 112 are added as new products.
13. 1:27Choose Replace Existing Variants, and only the records you changed are updated.
14. 1:37Keep in mind, this isn't how you add new stock.
15. 1:41If a new batch of air fresheners arrives, you don't add it here. This screen is only for product information.
